NOTES FROM THE WHAT'S NEXT ROUNDTABLES ON COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

October 04, 2022 | SFU’s Office of Community Engagement hosted two virtual roundtables during the week of June 27th, 2022, focussed on two questions: How does your work with community partners strengthen post-secondary education? And: Are there key policies or practices that you think SFU should prioritize in the next strategic plan that would help support the critical work you do with community partners? The sessions began with a few minutes of quiet reflection, where responses or thoughts related to each question were collected. This was followed by a dialogue where folks discussed the concepts on the post-its and dove deeper into stories and examples. Clear themes and creative ideas emerged, which were summarized in this report and submitted as part of the larger What's Next roundtable process.
