Blog and News Display Options

Tags & Categories

AEM offers a number of style options for displaying blog posts and news pages. Both the SFU Blog Post and SFU News templates offers a great degree of customization: the category tag, date stamp, Share & Print and comments components are automatically available to authors.

When selecting your display option, you'll need to decide if you want to include thumbnail images and/or comments. If you would like to display thumbnail images or give your visitors the opportunity to comment on your blog post or news story, you'll need to use either the SFU Blog Post or SFU News template.

If you would like to display blog posts or news items without thumbnails or comments, you can use any of the content page templates available. Simply drop in a Datestamp component to set an associated date with your blog post or news item.

To include one of the following list displays on your site, drag a List component onto the page and specify the source of the blog/news pages. Use the fixed list, child pages or search options to build a simple list. For more complex list types, an Advanced Search query may be required. See Advanced Queries for example code.

Below are samples of List components using different "Display As" options. Double-click the List component to access the display option.
