Required actions for site owners/admins
Site owners/admins are required to complete the following actions by Tuesday, December 10. Failure to complete will result in lost access to AEM Author, FormView and/or Restricted Page Viewing.
Add Members to AEM Author Groups
- Visit groups.sfu.ca
- Navigate to Manage Your Groups > Security Groups
- Look for AEM Author groups with these naming patterns:
resource:app:AEM:sites:<site-path>:admins
resource:app:AEM:sites:<site-path>:authors
resource:app:AEM:sites:<site-path>:editors
resource:app:AEM:sites:<site-path>:moderators
resource:app:AEM:sites:<site-path>:readonly - Click the group name
- Click "Add members" button
We recommend that you add reference groups as members (eg. ref:dept:its:dto:my-site-group), rather than individuals.
Please reach out to Grouper Admins in your unit (typically local IT support) for a reference group. - In the "New members" field, enter the group name, then click "Submit"
- Repeat for all AEM Author groups you manage
Note: Members of the admins group (currently populated with the site owner) can edit all group memberships for that site. Access management documentation can be found here.
Update Restricted Page Viewing Access
- Go to author.sfu.ca
- Find pages with Restricted Page Viewing enabled
- Open Page Properties
- In Restricted Page Viewing section:
- Keep existing maillists in place
- Add groups equivalent to current maillists
Please reach out to Grouper Admins in your unit (typically local IT support) for departmental groups.
Large SFU audience groups are:
ref:role:employees
ref:role:faculty
ref:role:undergrads
ref:role:grad-students
ref:role:sponsored-all
ref:role:retirees
- Repeat for all restricted pages
