Presidential Reappointment Review Community Consultation
Simon Fraser University’s Board of Governors has embarked on the re-appointment review process for incumbent president, Dr. Joy Johnson. President Joy Johnson’s current term is from Sept. 1, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2025.
The potential re-appointment of SFU’s president is a crucial decision for the future of the university. We encourage everyone to get involved and share your perspective. Your opinion is important to us.

The Presidential Re-Appointment Review Committee collects personal information on behalf of SFU under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (RSBC 1996, c.165), and in accordance with Policy B10.06. The personal information collected includes your affiliation with Simon Fraser University and your feedback regarding President Johnson’s performance. The information will be used to provide a deeper understanding of the president’s performance and influence on the university community. The information will be disclosed to SFU’s Presidential Reappointment Committee and may be disclosed to SFU’s Board of Governors.
