French Cohort Program

Academic Advising

An academic advisor dedicated to your success! All French Cohort Program students, from first to fourth year and on, including individuals in the active admission process, have access to a program-specific student advisor. Throughout your studies, you should consult your FCP student advisor to obtain information and guidance to help you with your academic choices. The FCP student advisor answers questions on course selection, requirements to graduate, declaring a major/minor programs, as well as assists you with the preparations for the exchange program at a Francophone university. If you wish to incorporate an additional area of study into your program, or vary the pace of your studies, your student advisor can help guide you. Examples include:

Advising appointment booking

You will be able to book an advising appointment via the AdvisorLink platform up to one day in advance, by selecting an in-person or Zoom appointment during preset advising times the FCP Student Advisor has set aside. Appointments are generally available between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm, from Monday through Friday. If the provided times do not work with your schedule, please feel free to contact the advisor.

Course permissions and other inquiries

Note: Non-FCP students interested in enrolling in cohort-specific courses may contact the FCP Student Advisor for eligibility and registration permission. Consult the list of elective courses taught in French available.
