Rendering Trenton Self Assessment

As play this game, you should reflect on what constitutes realism. Is it attention to every detail? Is it the
position of the viewer? Is it making all parts of the image roughly meet our visual expectations, even if
there are differences in the detail.

It is very easy to simply "play" when you are doing rendering work. A very useful exercise is to describe
each of the changes you make in words. For example, "I am changing the bump mapping of the corner
walls to more closely resemble concrete masonry." or "The aquarium lighting is washing out the
transparency effect I want. I'll decrease either the transparency or the light intensity." Such word play
helps you to focus on the changes you make and, more importantly, helps you to remember rendering
strategies in the future.
