Studying in Canada
My passport has a middle name listed, but it is missing from the PAL. Is a new PAL required?
IRCC has confirmed that missing the middle name from the PAL will not cause issues with your study permit application. You don’t need a new PAL, providing your current one is still valid.
Note that the name (first and last name) and date of birth written on your PAL must match the name and date of birth in the passport that you included in your study permit application.
Please ensure that your first name, last name and your date of birth on the PAL is accurate, and the information matches your passport.
