Our PhD alumni have secured work in a wide range of fields, including tenure-track positions at universities such as University of Ottawa, University of Alberta, York University, University of Victoria, Thompson Rivers University, University of the Fraser Valley, St. Mary’s University, University of Glasgow (UK), Istinye University (Turkey), permanent teaching positions at Douglas College, Capilano University, as well as postdoctoral fellowships at McGill University and Tufts University.
Our MA alumni in sociology and anthropology are working in all levels of government, secondary and post-secondary education, non-profit organizations, and in the private sectors. Most find employment doing research, program management, policy analysis, writing, consulting, and community engagement.
Those who decide to continue their education have been accepted into law programs, and PhD programs such as: University of Toronto, Queen’s University, University of California Davis, University of Alberta, McMaster University, Carleton University, University of Victoria, York University, University of Brighton, University of Saskatchewan, and Northeastern University.
