Dr. Michael Stevenson
Each year, as I sit down to write this report, I struggle with the same issue. Who exactly am I writing to?
Are you a student, eager to learn more about exciting new educational opportunities and change the world for the better? Are you a business owner, hoping to hire our co-op students and graduates or utilize our expertise and facilities? Or a parent, wondering which university is right for your child or hoping to take advantage of some of our educational outreach programs?
Are you thinking of coming back to school to begin or complete a long-delayed degree? Or are you an academic or researcher, looking for opportunities to partner with some of our outstanding professors?
You may be a donor, excited about your gift and wanting to know how it is helping students and advancing learning and research. Or are you a taxpayer who wants to ensure that the government and the university are using your tax dollars efficiently and effectively?
Our community is certainly multifaceted, with our energy, our innovation and our programs touching people who work and study on our three campuses as well as those who live across the Lower Mainland, throughout Canada and around the globe.
When you read this report, I hope you will see yourself as an important member of the global community we serve and gain some insight into how our successes of the past year are making a difference to you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael Stevenson
