49th Annual Byzantine Studies Conference at SFU
REGISTRATION FEE INFORMATION
Available registration options:
- Student/Early Career Rate: For currently enrolled students; for early career contingent scholars, i.e. no more than 8 years since PhD awarded and in a non-tenure track position.
- Reduced Rate: For retirees, adjunct, contingent, independent, and emeritus scholars.
- Regular Rate: All others
- Supporter Rate: Those eligible for the regular rate and who wish to pay an additional $25 to help support the reduced and student rates (Note this is not considered a gift for tax purposes.)
Early Registration rates apply for those who register before [September 15].
Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.

Before September 15:
- Supporter $200 CAD
- Regular $175 CAD
- Reduced $85 CAD
- Student/Early Career $2 CAD
September 15 and after:
- Supporter $225 CAD
- Regular $200 CAD
- Reduced $100 CAD
- Student/Early Career $2 CAD
Most conference activities will take place at the Work Conference Center on the SFU Vancouver campus. Hotel rooms are available for conference attendees at the Hyatt in Downtown Vancouver which is located about a 15-minute walk from the Conference Centre.
To receive the conference rate, be sure to use the hotel information on the Accommodations page this website when reserving your room. Book your rooms early as space is limited. There are many other hotels near the SFU Vancouver campus from which to choose.
