Juliette Halliday awarded the Angela Hutchinson Essay Prize
We are pleased to announce Juliette Halliday as the winner of the $250 Angela Hutchinson Essay Prize, which recognizes high academic achievement in any discipline on Hellenic themes at the undergraduate or graduate level.
Juliette receives the award for her essay “Minoan Palatial Interaction: Power or Peers?” that she wrote during HS 312: Greek Art and Archaeology with the Centre’s own Sabrina Higgins, Hellenic Studies Professor in Aegean and Mediterranean Societies and Cultures. The essay was also awarded third place in the Classical Association of Canada’s Junior Essay Competition. Juliette is an exceptional student, pursuing an undergraduate degree in SFU’s School of Communication. In addition to this award, she also received the Fred & Elaine Moonen Scholarship in Communication last year.
Congratulations on your accomplishment, Juliette!
