Leanne Roderick Receives Excellence in Teaching Award

Leanne Roderick was a recipient of the 2020/2021 Excellence in Teaching award from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.  Leanne was nominated by her colleagues, teaching assistants, and undergraduate geography students for this award, which recognizes excellence in teaching innovation.  More specifically, it indicates that Leanne engages students in discovery of new knowledge; introduces innovative pedagogical approaches to learning that stimulates student interest and understanding of complex material; encourages and supports student learning; organizes and delivers interesting and challenging syllabi that engages students at appropriate levels; and exemplifies collegiality, professionalism and interdisciplinary respect.
