The purpose of my project is to determine the most suitable locations for a new snowboard shop in the Vancouver area using a geographic information systems (GIS) software called IDRISI 32. I performed my analysis by using Multi-Criteria Evaluation (MCE) to produce the final result. The first step in the MCE process is to identify and develop the criteria. In my project, I have included 6 such criteria as constraints.

1. commercial area
2. population over 200 of males and females aged 15 to 30
3. yearly average household income of at least $50000
4. located on a street in Vancouver
5. access to Skytrain
6. near locations of existing snowboard shops
