As I enjoyed graphic designing for many years, I created a number of web graphics designed to be aesthetically pleasing and serve different functions, such as web layouts for people to use as personal sites (from 2008-2013). I also digitally paint artwork as a hobby, my style being semi-realistic.
My process for creating digital art involves researching backgrounds and poses to use as references, then draw lineart based on my vision. Once the lineart is complete, I fill in base colors throughout the drawing, then paint textures and shadows. I also color-correct the overall piece and blend.
I drew the artwork below using a tablet, in the programs Paint Tool Sai and Adobe Photoshop. The character features one of my characters from the game Vindictus. The atmosphere of the art piece is dark, with the character sitting on a pile of bodies - relating to the game's dark and gritty world. It was done from a personal desire to envision my character outside of the game's art style. Although I did not design the clothing or weapon (they are items from the game), the background design as well as the overall character design are self-created.
I created many free web layouts for others to use for personal sites, with a focus on beautiful aesthetics. The process for these web designs involved sketching different layouts and styles down in order to find one that interested me enough to create it. Once the layout was decided, I would make the graphics necessary and code them using a combination of HTML, CSS, and PHP.
