November 30: Support the United Way at the SFU Surrey Book and Samosa Sale!
Date: Wednesday, November 30
Location: SRYC Mezzanine
Book sale: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Samosa sale: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Last day for donations: Thursday, November 24 | 4:00 PM
On November 30, SFU Surrey will be hosting a book and samosa sale in support of the United Way of the Lower Mainland. This is a great opportunity to donate any gently used books, CDs or board games, enjoy a tasty samosa, and find something new to read or enjoy for a very low price – all while raising much-needed funds for programs and services to help children, families, and seniors living in poverty.
Please drop off your donations at one of the nine donation boxes located around campus by Thursday, November 24.
What can I donate?
To ensure the success of the sale, we ask that you please follow and share these guidelines when donating and/or receiving donations:
✅ Please donate *gently used*…
- Fiction books (novels of any genre, for young adult/adult audiences)
- Children’s books
- Non-fiction books (genre/subject should appeal to a broad audience)
- CDs, DVDs, LPs
- New or used board games and puzzles (please ensure no pieces are missing)
❌ Not accepting…
- Textbooks or teaching material
- Encyclopedias
- Magazines
- VHS or cassette tapes

There are NINE locations where you can drop of your gently used books and items at both SRYC and SRYE:

- PODIUM 3: Near bottle lost & found
