Canada/US tax and investment issues
March 05, 2015
Time: 12 Noon
Place: Room 114, at the Halpern Centre, Burnaby Campus.
Presenters: A variety of SFURA members
Changes in laws and practices in the United States make it more complicated now for Canadians to invest, own property, work, or spend much time living south of the border. For example, people who must prepare US tax and financial forms often have trouble getting help, and some will face penalties. This meeting will be an open discussion. We will exchange information, questions and answers, and describe experiences that may prove useful to others.
We invite you to send us questions and contributions in advance.
We welcome all members of the SFU community; the talk is free and requires no registration.
