Biography
Ingrid Leman Stefanovic is former Dean of the Faculty of Environment at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada, and Professor Emeritus, Department of Philosophy, University of Toronto. She has served as Executive Co-Director of the International Association for Environmental Philosophy; Senior Scholar at the Center for Humans and Nature, Chicago and New York. Her teaching and research center on how values and perceptions affect public policy, planning and environmental decision making. Recent books include Safeguarding Our Common Future: Rethinking Sustainable Development and The Natural City: Re-Envisioning the Built Environment, The Wonder of Water: Lived Experience, Policy and Practice. A second book on water ethics, entitled Ethical Water Stewardship is a volume, co-edited with Zafar Adeel, is forthcoming.
