Every department has meeting rooms that can be booked by Faculty of Science members.  The following departments made their schedules available to view:

Only the corresponding department staff can book these rooms; you may ask the Physics office staff to request room bookings on your behalf.

Graduate Student Room Booking

MSc and PhD students will typically book rooms for Annual Progress Reviews (Committee Meetings) and Defences. Please contact the Graduate Program Assistant (physgrad@sfu.ca) to make these bookings.

Equipment Booking

The Physics Department has several pieces of equipment that can be signed out from office staff. Equipment includes:

Teaching Equipment

  • Disposable masks
  • Face shields
  • USB microphones (for recording in-person lectures)
  • iPads
  • Laptops
  • Projectors
  • Adapters
  • Laser Pointers
  • Calculators for exams

Printed Materials (for signout or use in Physics Library)

  • Desk copies (textbooks) for TAs
  • Physics books, periodicals, and theses

Other Equipment

  • Cameras and a camcorder
  • Group speakerphone for faculty and staff
  • Chairs for graduate students
  • Office supplies for faculty, staff, and TAs (for teaching and administrative purposes only)
