Physics members win ATLAS Outstanding Achievement Award

Congratulations to Dr. Jackson Burzynski, Dr. Bingxuan Liu, and Prof. Matthias Danninger for winning the highest award given by the ATLAS collaboration.

ATLAS is one of the two main detectors searching for new particles at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva. The SFU group was recognized for outstanding contributions to the integration of large-radius tracking into the standard ATLAS reconstruction.  The ATLAS Outstanding Achievement Awards are given out once every two years to individuals and groups in a wide range of categories.  See the news release from ATLAS here.
