Synopsis
Gravity and Black holes have puzzled physicists for many years, and they have extended General Relativity (GR) in a variety of ways to understand them. In this seminar, I will examine one successful extension of GR, Einstein Quartic Gravity (EQG), and describe how it applies to a slowly rotating black hole. I will detail the equations of motion for this problem, and compare the solution to that of GR.
