Synopsis
In the past decade, there has been a growing interest in the physics of droplets. Droplet transport has various applications in industry and developing experimental tools, especially in biology. In this talk, I will introduce a new method for droplet self-transport. The setup used in this method guarantees self-transport regardless of the wettability of the drops of liquids. We will see how researchers used a combination of experimental data and mathematical modeling to study this motion with a focus on the timescale associated with the motion.
