On the dawn of quantum technological revolution: what should we care?

Synopsis

Recently, quantum technology has generated a lot of attention (as well as hypes and sci-fi ideas...).  In this talk, I will introduce the three main pillars of quantum technology, namely quantum computation, quantum communication, and quantum sensing.  I will briefly explain their principle, and outline the research along these directions.  I will also overview the related research at SFU.
