I chose SFU because of its exceptional reputation in computer science. This will be essential for achieving my ultimate career goal of being a research scientist.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
To improve the accuracy and trustworthiness of machine learning methods for using artificial intelligence in precision medicine.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?
I have chosen to pursue a PhD program at SFU to gain deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills. My supervisor at SFU is well-suited for my goal, as he has conducted collaborative research on causality between industry and academia, and has a high academic reputation. His research works in the field of causality and its application in pharmaceutical and agricultural fields make me confident that I will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become a research scientist in future.
