SPATIAL ANALYSIS

4.1    Constraints
When using a Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) there is the ability of adding constraints or strict guidelines to the analysis process.  Constraints acts in a similar fashion as Boolean Overlays, in that the location must meet the criteria to be considered.

For this project there where two constraints, property boundary and the lake.  Obviously the cabin location had to fall within the property boundary and building on the lake would present a few challenges.

4.2     Factors
There were five factors or weights to be considered in the cabin selection process Cartographic Model

4.3    MCE
The Weighted Linear Evaluation has two inputs, factors and constraints.  It is possible to perform this analysis without constraints.
