Data Collection and Preparation Notes
The following table outlines the data used in the spatial analysis for this project.

In order to prepare the data for use in the modeling process, several steps were undertaken to customize the data sets.
The ALR Landuse, 2006 Canada census, and road network data were clipped to represent areas within Metro Vancouver using a GVRD Municipality data set as a reference (within ArcMap). The data were also projected using the UTM 10N reference system.
The 2006 Census attribute table file was generated to apply to the coverage area and joined to the vector DA data set in ArcMap.
All data were subsequently imported into IDRISI. Within IDRISI, raster images for the purpose of spatial analysis were generated from fields within the vector database files using a raster image template consisting of 2500 rows and 2075 columns resulting in an approximate spatial resolution of 30m.
