About Us
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is responsible for the delivery of all legal services to the university in connection with legal matters arising from all aspects of its operations, except for legal matters in connection with research services through the Office of Research Services and the commercialization of technology through the Technology Licensing Office. The OGC also oversees the university’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations, providing guidance and support to university units in meeting the university’s compliance obligations. The OGC maintains operational responsibility for University Legal Counsel, Archives and Records Management, and the Policy Office.
Archives, Access and Privacy
The University Archivist is responsible for the management of corporate records and information resources in all media across the organization by leading and supervising an integrated program encompassing records management, access to information and protection of privacy and archives. Policy
The Policy Office is responsible for overseeing and supporting the development and revision of university policies, in accordance with the Policy on University Policies and Procedures (B 10.00). The Policy Office is a new resource dedicated to providing advice on required governance and consultation processes to university units undertaking policy work.
