Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)

• Connection Grant
  Description: Supports events and outreach activities for short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization, often serving as a first step toward more comprehensive and longer-term projects.

  Value: Events: $7,000 - $25,000      Outreach activities: $7,000 - $50,000
• SFU/SSHRC Small Explore
  Description: Supports scholarly research in the contemporary arts, humanities, and social sciences for expenses up to a maximum of $7,000, or in teams, up to $10,000.
  Deadline: June 1, 2024
  Value: Up to $7,000

Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)

• Discovery Horizons (pilot)
  Description: Supports research that broadly integrates or transcends disciplines to advance knowledge in the natural sciences and engineering.
  Deadline: June 17, 2024
  Value: $50,000 - $100,000 over up to 5 years

• Exploration Competition
  Description: Supports high risk, high reward and interdisciplinary research not easily supported through other tri-agency funding opportunities

• Concept to Realization Composite
  Description: Supports the full creative cycle, from initial idea to presentation

  Description: Supports the initial stages of creative project as well as artists' professional development
