Episode 3: How did the pandemic impact academia?

Welcome to Speakable - a space for showcasing conversations about all the interesting and important things that faculty and students are doing in SFU’s Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology.

In today’s episode, host Milena Droumeva sits down with Sarah Louise Turner and Bee Brigidi from the Centre for Educational Excellence. In this first of two parts, Milena, Sarah and Bee discuss the landscape of academia in a post-pandemic world. They discuss the pivot to online teaching and its impact specifically on educators, as well as larger questions about academic relevance. In part two, they’ll discuss the same topics from the perspective of students.

Speakable is produced by Natalie Dusek for SFU’s Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology.
