Aiden James Allen Serr
January 3, 1998 - November 13, 2017
Aiden was a young, passionate artist, and bright science student. He studied Film Production and Biological Sciences at SFU. Noé Rodríguez, his teacher in Film Productions at the School of the Contemporary Arts, described him as “the adventuring scientist philosopher artist”. In 2017, Aiden lost his life in a tragic car accident.
In memory of Aiden, his photographs, scripts, and thoughts were edited by his mother, Kirsten Urdahl-Serr, and published in a book titled Moving Images. The revenue from the book has benefited the Aiden Serr Memorial Award. Every year, one undergraduate EVSC student is selected as the recipient of the award. This award is valued at $2400.
