Other Costs
For your reference, we have provided an estimate of additional costs and living expenses for your stay in Vancouver.
Accommodation: $1,325 per month
ELC does not arrange homestay accommodations. While there are several homestay providers in the Vancouver area, ELC has a long and positive working relationship with First Choice International Placement (FCI). Medical insurance: $60 per month

Public Transportation Pass (Translink):
Vancouver's public transportation is both efficient and convenient. The Translink system includes buses, the SeaBus ferry and the SkyTrain (light rail).
You can buy a monthly transit Compass card when you arrive in Vancouver. Visit www.translink.bc.ca for more information.
SFU ID card: $20
SFU identification cards are optional. You can arrange for an ID card through ELC.
