SFU-SEG Field Trips

As a student club with emphasis on economic geology, we focus on visiting existing and proposed sites from grassroots exploration to functioning large-scale minesites. Exposure to the mining industry is a valuable experience that many students may not have during their education. We hope they can gain access through the SFU-SEG chapter.

Prospective trips for 2015 include Highland Valley Copper, Myra Falls, New Afton, and a possible guided tour of the interior of Vancouver Island, hosted by Tyler Ruks.
