Physical Volcanology Research Group

Within the Department of Earth Sciences and Centre for Natural Hazards Research at Simon Fraser University, our research concentrates on physical volcanology and the processes controlling persistently active volcanoes and more broadly natural hazards. Current research integrates the study of geophysical signatures with geochemical and remote sensing data to investigate precursory signals to volcanic and other hazardous natural events and the mechanisms that trigger them.
