ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE SPRING 2023 TOWN HALL
At this gathering, we will celebrate some of the great work being done by School of Environmental Science students, staff, and faculty. We will also bring together students to collaborate and create dialogue. Participants will explore an issue or topic by discussing it in small table groups. Discussions will be held in multiple rounds of 20-30 minutes.

UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC ADVISING WORKSHOP
Congratulations on making it this far into the Summer 2022 semester! Are you getting ready for the Fall 2022 enrollment, starting June 4th? If yes, this is a perfect pre-enrolment workshop for Environmental Science first-year students, transfer students, and others who would like a more hands-on demonstration of how to effectively schedule their courses.
See how five teams of Environmental Science students are integrating their disciplinary, science backgrounds to solve environmental problems in their capstone projects. From demonstrating how green infrastructure supports biodiversity in Vancouver to providing design suggestions, improvements as well as best practice guidelines for existing and future green spaces.
SFU School of Environmental Science is excited to introduce the Spring 2022 seminar series featuring geomorphic researchers, Canadian research chair on Indigenous environmental science, and environmental science professors. Join our seminars to learn more about the environmental problems we face today and new problems as they emerge.

SFU School of Environmental Science Fall 2021 seminar series featuring endangered species researchers, wildfires researcher, and environmental science professors.
Students worked in teams to develop data monitoring plans and public engagement strategies to assess and communicate the co-benefits of a new green infrastructure project called the St. George Rainway. The project's presentations were open to everyone online.
The students of EVSC 400 have been working on developing and applying methodologies for assessing the ecological condition of Naturally Managed Areas in five of Vancouver's Parks: Stanley, Jericho Beach, Everett Crowley, Vanier, and Renfrew Ravine. This work was undertaken in collaboration with CityStudio and the Vancouver Park Board and the top project was presented in Vancouver City Hall.
In this townhall, Jeremy Venditti, the Environmental Science Director, provided students with information about the recent program curriculum changes, what to expect over the next year, alongside comments and questions. Students also had the opportunity to present their ideas, voice their opinions, and ask questions.
