OFFA Award
For incoming French Cohort Program students
This award is for Grade 12 students who will be beginning their studies in the French Cohort Program in Public and International Affairs and recognizes students' academic excellence, as well as their leadership and engagement within the Francophone and Francophile communities of British Columbia and elsewhere in Canada. The award assists students with certain supplementary fees associated with university studies (such as textbooks, computer equipment or other supplies).
Amount:
Two awards of $500.
Eligibility:
- One award is reserved for students coming from the Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CSF).
- One award is reserved for students coming from the BC French Immersion program or having completed Core French 12 in BC.
- Applicants will be undertaking full-time studies (a minimum of 9 units per term) in the French Cohort Program in Public and International Affairs in September 2024.
- Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic performance, normally calculated using Grade 12 course grades, and on the quality of leadership and engagement within communities, associations, organizations and other Canadian institutions where the French language is present.
