Show your Spirit!
On Wednesday March 13, students, alumni, staff and faculty are invited to participate in activities to connect and celebrate SFU. This year, we are excited to offer many ways to show your spirit, including on-campus activities, a chance to win prizes and many more surprises!
4 ways to show your spirit:
1. Wear red or SFU swag
- Watch out for the SFU Cheerleading team handing out freebies and having fun in Burnaby and Surrey common areas!
2. Get your own SFU swag at SFU Bookstore & Spirit Shop
- From March 6 - 13, 2024, get 20% off SFU-branded clothing
- On Spirit Day (March 13), get 20% off SFU-branded clothing AND products
- Use discount code #SFUSpiritDay to redeem discount (in-store and online).
3. Share your love for SFU on Instagram
From March 6 - 13, upload photos of yourself to Instagram wearing red or SFU swag. There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit! Make sure to include the hashtag #SFUSpiritDay for contest entry.
- On March 14, 2024 at 2pm, 5 winners wil be randomly selected to win a $75 gift card to the SFU Bookstore & Spirit Shop.
- Winners will be contacted via DM (direct message) on their IG accounts and guided on how to claim their prize.
- The contest is open to alumni, faculty, staff and students of SFU campuses: Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver.
- Follow @sfubookstore on Instagram for updates on future activities and promotions.
4. Attend an on-campus event
Burnaby Campus, Convocation Mall (12pm - 3pm)
SFU Cheerleading team to handout $5 coffee vouchers to lucky community members wearing red or SFU swag around the campus as early as 11am.
Visit our photobooth and participate in our Instagram photo contest. Use hashtag #SFUSpiritDay and get a chance to win a $75 voucher from @sfubookstore.
SFU Cheerleading show at 1pm.

Pop-up booths of artisans, vendors, BAK’D Cookies, and more.
Surrey Campus, Mezzanine (12pm - 3pm)
