Masters
Tiffany Stead, MSc (2024): Tiffany completed a study investigating the role of hypercoagulability in the development of venous thromboembolism in females exposed to stimulated microgravity using a dry immersion model.
Donya Divsalar, MSc (2023): Donya completed a combined individualized cycling exercise and artificial gravity training protocol for the ESA/CNES BRACE bedrest study and is currently residing in Germany, where she works with Airbus Defense and Space as a human systems integration and human factors engineer on Starlab, a commercial space station developed through a joint effort between Voyager Space and Airbus.
Malcom Tremblay, BKin - MSc Student (2022): Malcolm’s current research is to understand the reasons why astronauts lose the ability to control their blood pressure when standing, with the intention to apply the findings towards the development of interventions that will conserve an astronaut’s ability to control blood pressure when returning from space.
Mahan Rahimi, MASc (2016): Novel smart-technology-assisted therapy to effectively assist with fluid volume control in the legs of humans with excessive swelling or standing hypotension.

International Visiting Students
Esmée Steijger, MSc (2023): Esmée researched the integration of a new technology, involving ECG and Seismocardiography, in the cardio-postural measurement system, Medical Enginnering from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
Stan Snijders, MSc (2023): Stan researchered the influence of cardio-postural interactions on central hypovolemia in our Supine-to-stand versus Supine-to-Lower Body Negative Pressure (LBNP), Cardiovascular/Musculoskeletal Baroreflex Responses study. Stan’s research provides a crucial physiological understanding to overcome certain spaceflight-induced hemodynamic consequences, ultimately enabling human space travel to more distant destinations, Medical Enginnering from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
