How to apply

Before applying, you might want to review this help video. Then:

Step 1: Apply on EducationPlannerBC

  • In section 4, Applying to SFU:
    • Select from the drop-down list of faculties: Beedie School of Business
    • Select from the drop-down list of programs: Business (to begin your studies at the Burnaby Campus) or Business – 1st yr Surrey
    • Make sure to choose a second faculty and program choice!

Step 2: Activate Your Account

  • You will receive an email with your 9-digit Student Number (User ID Number) and password. Use these to sign in to your Student Account via your Student Centre to activate your account.

Step 3: Submit Your Marks and Documents

  • All documents must be received by the SFU Admissions Department by the posted deadlines.

Step 4: Submit Your Supplemental Application

Supplemental Application

SFU's Beedie School of Business requires all applicants to submit a Supplemental Application. Your Supplemental Application will be used to assess other factors beyond academics that contribute to your overall preparedness for SFU Beedie’s programs.

The Supplemental Application includes:

  • A written, short answer response
  • An explanation of the activities you've engaged in and achievements you've accomplished within the last 4 years
  • Two video interview responses (transfer students only)
  • Two references with one being academic in nature (teacher or counsellor for high school students, instructor or professor for transfer students).
  • Any additional information in support of your application
  • Payment of the Supplemental Application Fee ($91.42 CAD), which is separate from the SFU Application Fee.
