This summer school will precede the main CIFAR Quantum Materials Meeting to be held in Vancouver on May 9-11th, 2013. Graduate students & postdocs of CIFAR's Quantum Materials Program Members are invited to attend our 3 days of lectures and presentations in preparation for the main meeting. Students are also invited to attend the CIFAR Quantum Materials Main Meeting on May 9-11, 2013.
This year a registration fee will apply to defray some of the costs of meals. The registration fees are as follows:
Summer school only $150, or
Summer school & main meeting $300.
CIFAR will cover the travel and accommodation costs for two students per program member.
CIFAR's travel policy applies to the summer school. Please familiarize yourself with it and contact us if you have any questions. After the summer school, eligible travel and meal expenses are reimbursed through CIFAR using the CIFAR Expense Claim Form.
There is a maximum of 80 student & postdoc participants. In the initial round of applications, each CIFAR Quantum Materials Program member can propose a maximum of two students. If spots remain after the initial round, additional students may be submitted by members.
