V-VTCP-1 Yours truly at Oakridge moments before the parade started. Members of the Vancouver Police Department's motorcycle division were there to escort the parade on W. 41st Ave. to Oak St. then to Marine Drive to Hudson St. and into the new VTC garage which was to open to the fleet from Oakridge TC to the new facility. V-2040-E43 2040 at the 43 & Beatrice loop after the Parade. The Brill was taking invited guests (mostly fans) back to Oakridge. The loop once served the 21 Victoria line and the 41st Ave. line as short turns. The latter was the original eastern terminus until about 1958. Now it is rarely used being kept for emergency turn backs (and for fan trips (-:) ). Photo by R. C. DeArmond. 2 SE 06.
