To further examine the relation between the identified play deserts and the location of children aged 10 to 14 within the study area, a map was created overlaying these two variables on a map of the City of Vancouver. While this is similar the results of the Playability & Child Density section, this map provides a more easily interpretable visualization of the relationship between the distribution of children and the areas of the city with the lowest quality of play spaces. This map shows a general trend where, with a few exceptions, play deserts are consistent with areas of low pediatric density.
