Three applied science researchers receive the B.C. Knowledge Development Fund
Announced today, the B.C. Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF) has awarded a total of $350,000 for three research projects led by professors from the Schools of Sustainable Energy Engineering, Engineering Science and Mechatronic Systems Engineering.
The BCKDF supports the development of research infrastructure to help B.C.'s institutions foster innovation and collaborate with industry professionals.
Recipients:
Vahid Hosseini, Associate Professor, School of Sustainable Energy Engineering
Project title: Studying Alternative Transportation Decarbonization Pathways in Canadian Climate
CFI’s contribution: $100,000
Shawn Sederberg, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering Science
Project title: Synthesized and Structured Mid-infrared Fields as Probes for Quantum Materials and Molecules
CFI’s contribution: $125,000
John Shen, Professor, School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering
Project title: Medium-Voltage Direct Current (VMDC) Research Infrastructure
CFI’s contribution: $125,000
