Create a sequence of images which alters the entrance to the Banrock
Station Wine and Wetland Centre from the car park in order to improve
the experience for visitors.
The formZ model contains a series of viewpoints with corresponding
background images from the entry to the wine centre from the carpark.
- Open the zip file pathways.zip.You can download it from here.
- Extract it into an appropriate folder on your F:/ drive.
- Open formZ and open the pathways.fmz file that you unzipped from
the pathways.zip file. It contains:
- a ground plane
- 8 preset viewpoints,
- 8 corresponding background images and a kit of parts in the
pathways.zlb
symbol library that is loaded.
- You will need to place pieces from the kit of parts onto the ground
plane within the 8 preset viewpoints provided. When you change your
viewpoint you will need to select the new preset viewpoint in the
views palette and change the background image by going
to the underlay options window. You can find it in the windows menu
by following Windows: Underlay (Ctrl + U) and then clicking on the
button that says select underlay file and choosing the
appropriate background image for your new viewpoint (eg. Use background2.jpg
with Viewpoint 2).
- You can place objects from the symbol library onto the groundplane
by using the Symbol Place tool with face snapping switched
on.
- Before you can render your images in Renderzone, you need to change
the background image in the Renderzone Options window.
You can find it under the Display menu by following:
Display: Display Options: Renderzone Options.
Change the background image by clicking on the options button, next
to image, in the background frame of the Renderzone Options
window.
- Render an image of your design from each of the 8 viewpoints provided,
with the corresponding background image to express how your design
develops the process of entry. Save them into a directory with the
entry.html file.
- All renderings should be saved in JPEG format at 320 x 240 and have
the following names: entry1.jpg, entry2.jpg, entry3.jpg, entry4.jpg,
entry5.jpg, entry6.jpg, entry7.jpg and entry8.jpg
- Use the entry.html template and display
you work in the vGallery.
