Courses:
- M. A. Sc. students take 4 courses
- Ph. D. students take 6 courses
- Courses our students have taken previously: ENSC 801 - Linear Systems Theory, PHYS 855 - Modern Optics, ENSC 894/871 - Optical and Laser Engineering Applications
- We can also put together a Directed Studies course - exemplary topics include Computational Electromagnetics or Nonlinear Optics
- All courses should be completed within 12 months of your start date
Lab access:
- Our lab is located within the doors of 4D Labs. In order to obtain a fob and mechanical key for the lab, you will need to complete all 4D Labs training modules.
- Please contact the 4D Labs administration (Karen, 4dlabs[at]sfu.ca) with Dr. Sederberg in cc and request that they send you the forms and training modules.
- You will also need to take Laser Safety Training. Please contact Monica Szczepina (mszczepi[at]sfu.ca) for this.
- Once all mandatory training is complete, Karen will request that Access Control prepares your fob and key.
Office space:
- Our group's office space is located in ASB 8836.
- Please contact the current ENSC Administrative Assistant (enscoa[at]sfu.ca) with Dr. Sederberg in cc and request a fob and mechanical key for access to the office.
- Remind Dr. Sederberg to arrange a computer for you to use and to send in a request to IT Services to set up an account on it.
- Once you have an account, please review the list of software that SFU licenses: Link
- Send a list of the software you would like installed on your computer (including any other free software) to enschelp[at]sfu.ca
