About Us

History

Founded in 2003, Openbook was established to connect readers with a more enjoyable reading experience. As more innovative technology became more readily available, Openbook has expanded to allow customers to purchases items online and as well as e-books which have become quite popular. The goal of Openbook is allow all readers to be able to access all types of content.

Today

Since 2003, Openbook has welcomed more than 50,000 through its store and online community. Openbook is one of the few remaining local bookstores in the Lower Mainland area which allow customers to purchase books online. Additionally, we offer a huge selection of books to choose from which are relatively cheaper than most of the larger book chains such as Chapters.

News Updates

Recently Openbook has expanded its book collection to include old classics such as Jules Verne. Additionally, Openbook now offers customers services which allow them to sell their used paper books or donate them to charity. Events

Join us on Sunday March 30th for a special book signing session with Chris Hatfield. You will get a copy of his latest book An Astronaut's Guide to Life and a limited edition bookmark for the first 50 in line. Proceeds from this special event will benefit BooksForLiteracy, a charitable organization in delivering literacy.
