Simon Fraser University's Urban Studies Program develops both the urban know how and “know why” valued by municipalities, NGOs, federal and provincial governments, and private sector employers. Understanding the city, its functions and its dynamics, offering insights into today's social, economic and environmental challenges and tomorrow's solutions demands the interdisciplinary understanding that our program builds in and beyond the classroom.
Urban Studies enables graduate students who are aspiring and practicing professionals (e.g. planners, managers, researchers, analysts and activists) to develop the urban insight that will create value for public and private sector employers.
Since 2005, contributors have been supporting our program through donations, grants, and other financial contributions. These investments have enabled us to expand our teaching and learning, and provide more opportunities for our students to master the art of making cities better. Please consider making an investment in better cities for the future.
