REQUESTS FROM GROUPS TO PRESENT AT THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS

For groups who would like to present to the Board of Governors at the Open Session of their full meeting, please note the following steps and approval process required to be placed on the agenda:

  1. Email the University Secretary at board_admin@sfu.ca two weeks in advance of the Board submission deadline expressing your interest in presenting to the Board (please see the Board meeting schedule) and explaining the specific purpose of your presentation.
  2. Based on the purpose of your presentation, determine which University Vice-President's portfolio your presentation topic falls under. Your request will require the endorsement of that Vice-President in order for the request to proceed to the Board Chair for approval.
  3. The University Secretary will then provide the Board Chair with the Vice-President’s recommendation and the Board Chair will determine whether or not the item should be added to the agenda.
