VHF

Abbreviation for Very High Frequency. That portion of the radio spectrum from 30 to 300 mHz.

VHF spectrum allocations generally include television channels 2 - 13, FM radio and mobile land radio. VHF and other areas of the radio spectrum may also be used for radio navigation, distress calling and fixed land radio.
