❝ Inspiration This was a group project to construct a service or product website. We decided to develop a planting store because we love plants. To get some inspirations, we did a research on online planting stores such as the Sill and the Bloomscape. We wanted to provide a modern, simple, and firendly style to online shoppers.

❝ Color palette The website sells easy-to-care plants, so I chose a leafy and earthy tone as a color combo that is resembling plants. Also, the soft colors are presenting welcoming and friendly to everyone.

❝ Layout design The home page is important to the entire website because it gives a first impression to customers who first time visit the website. The navigation bar is simple but sufficient for displaying all links to the web pages. First, I used a full width planting image with text as a highlight image in order to create an visual attraction. Then next three rows by four columns are image gallery displaying products and services highlight.

❝ Design detail For example, the color choice of the contact form in the Contact us page reflected the website theme. The text field was highlighted in warm pink and the lables were green. Displaying the placeholder for each text field to assist user to understand what kind of information to put in.

❝ Checkout experience In checkout page, users allowed to change quantiy of any products, and the price amount would automatically update by using JavaScript syntax. This dynamic function strengthen the userbility of the website so that users have more interactions with the website. In the future, the website should've provided more other dynamic functions in order to achieve a 100% authentic online shopping experience.
