What is the difference between the types of funding available?

Grants

Provide funding for a project or initiative through a grant application process.

Programs

Provide funding with the expectation that the applicants participate in a specific program or initiative to receive the funding.

e.g. an entrepreneurship program that offers funds for start-ups as part of a 12-week course.

Awards

Provide funding to those nominated for an award based on past work or accomplishments, with the thought that students can apply that award money to the projects they are seeking to fund.

BIPOC

Prioritizes applications for projects or initiatives led by individuals/teams who are Black, Indigenous, and/or people of colour.
