User Guide
The StatsApps website focuses on two types of audiences: instructors and students.- Instructors can use this library in the following ways:
-
Demonstrate applets in class: Student interactivity has been shown to increase student interest. Therefore, instructors can use the applets on this website to explain the material virtually, which can help students understand topics more easily.
-
Flip the class and do some activities in class: Active learning can include activities, discussions, or group work, all of which can aid in building students' understanding. Using applets and actual data in active learning enhances students' ability to understand material by themselves, and enlivens the atmosphere in class. Therefore, we recommend using the applets together with the students via guided activities.
-
Assign resources as homework: Instructors can use applets and data to create student assignments.
-
Perform activities in lab tutorials: Instructors and teaching assistants can use the library to do tutorial activities. The activities can be done individually or in groups.

Preview or review the course materials: The "Course Topics" page provides a list of topics. Students can use the "Course Topics" page to preview the course material or prepare for their tests.
